The Greenwich Village Group is a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous that meets in the West Village, New York City.

No Registration Required for any In-Person Meeting

Monday, 7:15pm (In-Person)

Beginners Panel

The format of this meeting is that 3 speakers share for about 5 minutes each on a beginners’ topic of their choice. After the panel is finished, there is a short secretary’s break followed by a show of hands, beginning with those with 90 days or under. At 8:00pm, sharing is opened up to everyone present until the meeting closes at 8:15pm. (ASL interpreter available)


Monday, 8:30pm (Zoom)

1-2-3 Step Meeting

The format of this meeting is that someone reads the synopsis of the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd step on page 5 of the Twelve and Twelve. Then, the speaker shares their experience, strength, and hope for about 15 minutes and includes the step in their share. After a short secretary’s break, the meeting continues with round robin style sharing until 9:30pm or until everyone has had a chance to share.


Tuesday, 7:15 pm (In-Person)

Big Book Meeting

The format of this meeting is that the chair begins reading from a chapter in the Big Book, and the reading continues through the group for 15 - 20 minutes, followed by a short secretary’s break. The meeting then continues with a round-robin style discussion, 3 minutes maximum per individual, until 8:15 pm. At that point, the meeting goes to a show of hands until the meeting ends at 8:30pm.

Wednesday, 7:15pm (In-Person)

The format of this meeting is that the speaker will share for about 20 minutes on a topic of their choice, followed by a short secretary’s break. Then, the meeting continues with a show of hands until the meeting ends at 8:15pm. (ASL interpreter available)


Friday, 6:45pm (In-Person) - Womens Meeting

Speaker Meeting

The format of this meeting is that the speaker will share for about 20 minutes on a topic of their choice, followed by a short secretary’s break. Then, the meeting continues with a show of hands until the meeting ends at 7:45pm.


Friday, 8:00pm (In-Person + Zoom)

Step & Tradition Meeting

The format of this meeting is that the speaker will read a short excerpt from either the Big Book or the Twelve and Twelve about the Step or Tradition being discussed. Then, they will share about that excerpt for about 20 minutes. When the speaker is finished, there will be a short secretary’s break followed by a show of hands until the meeting ends at 9:15pm.
